The Sun beats down mercilessly, incinerating everything it touches. Survival means staying out of the light: move your mobile station around to keep away from it. No one place is safe for long, you must plan your route to stay alive.
Upgrade your Moon Rover
The giant MechaPlex Universal Moon Rover is your HQ and your means of transportation. Build on top of it, research new tech, expand the capabilities of your crew, and explore the lunar wastes in search of useful resources that can increase your rover’s movement speed.
Make impactful decisions
As the leader of the surviving crew, your road to salvation will be full of tough moral choices. Whatever you decide, there will be a price to pay. Choose poorly, and the consequences may be dire. It’s all a balancing act, and it’s not just your life on the line. Think carefully before you allocate resources and manage your crew: Will you reach out and lend a hand, or will you shut everyone out, lest you be betrayed? Journey inward and discover yourself.
Manage your crew
Take care of your people. Admit newcomers into the crew. Improve your base using their valuable skills and abilities. But keep an eye on how people are feeling: they will react to what you say and the way you act. Will you look out for everyone, or will you leave the less fortunate to their fate? It’s up to you.
Create your own story
Every playthrough is different: there is no telling what a different location or a sudden turn of events will bring. Scan your environment and obstacles using drones, and prepare for what lies ahead. Accept other survivors into your crew or give them a wide berth if something about them doesn’t sit right. Collect minerals and use them to improve your chances of survival.

Dark Moon is a sci-fi survival strategy set on the Moon, where you must keep out of the blazing sun while staying on the move in your mobile base. You will have to learn to live in the dark.
You are a member of the Technicians & Engineers Council. You were charged with overseeing the construction of a new resource extraction system on the Moon, but things went awry when a massive solar storm hit Earth. Electronics malfunctioned all over the world, and the comm station on the Moon went dark. You have no means of contacting Earth, and the Sun incinerates everything it touches. You assumed command of the surviving team and their resources, and now you must explore the lunar surface in a desperate bid to re-establish contact. Whatever you encounter out there, you will have to deal with one way or the other. You will make tough choices, and face the consequences.
Above all, remember one thing: stay out of the light. Your salvation lies in the dark.
